Using projects and workspaces
Organise conversations by project or topic.
After this lesson
You keep related conversations together so that context is preserved.
In view · Working together towards one result
Context gets its own workspace
Create a recognisable place for a project or work period.
Keep separate tasks separate and relevant sources together.
Check who has access and archive completed work.
Part 1 of 3 · One topic
Your preference for less movement is on. Choose each part yourself.
Why projects?
A new conversation per task keeps the context clean. A project keeps related chats together.
When a new project?
With a new topic, client or period.
Practical tip
Give projects a clear name and archive completed projects.
New practice example
From explanation to a usable result.
A workspace organises sources and agreements; it does not guarantee that every file is used with every question.
Fictional practice situationA fictitious project contains two files named regulation. One is a draft and one is approved. A third file contains comments from a previous working group.
View a possible solution
This is how it can be done
Rename them recognisably: regulation-draft, regulation-approved, and comments-working-group. State for the task that only the approved file is the factual source and have the answer refer to the used passages.
Why this works
Ordering reduces confusion, but does not replace the check of the used source. A model can still select the wrong fragment.
Make it slightly more difficult
Add a new approved regulation and establish how you archive the old version recognisably without allowing two active truths to exist.
Extra practice, at your own pace. You do not need to submit anything. This does not count towards an automatic assessment.

What do you want to improve in your next attempt?
On this device only. AI answers remain only in this page memory. This is self-review, not a grade.
Why this approach works
Ordering reduces confusion, but does not replace the check of the used source. A model can still select the wrong fragment.
A step further
Add a new approved regulation and establish how you archive the old version recognisably without allowing two active truths to exist.
A prompt to get you started
Describe in 3 sentences when you would start a new project or workspace instead of continuing in the same conversation.
Apply it
In one AI workspace, documents from different projects are stored. A new team member should only see one project.
Which approach best fits this situation?
- Grant access to everything so the assistant has more context.
- Rely only on the project name as access security.
- Separate projects and verify access to the documents actually being used.
With JavaScript, you can check your approach and receive immediate feedback.
Test your insight
When is a separate project or workspace useful?
- Always, for every question.
- With a new topic or when you want to separate the context of previous tasks.
- Never.
Extra practice
Note two situations in which a separate project is more convenient than one long conversation.
1. A new client project. 2. Preparing an internal workshop.
