Sales without made-up promises
Use relevant, allowed information and check the source.
Request a short, appropriate approach for the fictitious prospect.
Check prices, availability and commitments yourself.
Part 1 of 3 · Check prospect info
Your preference for less movement is on. Choose each part yourself.
Research and preparation
Have AI summarise public information about a company. Always check the source. Distinguish between information published by the company itself and an interpretation from a AI tool. Note a direct source and date. A suspected need of a prospect is not a confirmed problem and should not be included as a fact in your message.
Writing outreach
Provide context, purpose, and tone. Do not let AI make up prices or promises. Use a fictitious prospect during practice. Include confirmed services and a modest next step. Writing a draft does not grant permission to send it; check the recipient, data, and applicable contact agreements separately.
Preparing objections
Ask for common objections and possible answers, and adapt them to your situation. Have potential objections formulated as preparation for a conversation. Answers must not contain made-up discounts, guarantees, or customer results. Discuss unknown matters as questions and place product claims alongside approved information.
New practice example
From explanation to a usable result.
AI can prepare a sales conversation. Personal statements and promises require reliable information.
Fictional practice situationFictional: a public company page mentions a new branch. It says nothing about a budget or planned purchase.
View a possible solution
This is how it can be done
Use the new branch as a verifiable reason for a general question. Do not write that the company is already planning a purchase or has a specific problem.
Why this works
You separate a public fact from your sales hypothesis. Have an employee check the message and the contact appointments before sending.
Make it slightly more difficult
Rewrite an overly assertive sales assumption as an open question that the recipient can easily correct.
Extra practice, at your own pace. You do not need to submit anything. This does not count towards an automatic assessment.

Why this approach works

A step further
Rewrite an overly assertive sales assumption as an open question that the recipient can easily correct.
A prompt to get you started
Write a short outreach email to a fictitious customer in the [sector]. Goal: a short conversation. Tone: professional and direct. Do not invent figures or customer names. Use only the provided fictitious facts. Make missing information visible and indicate what a human must check before use.
Apply it
A AI sales email claims that a fictitious prospect can save 30% annually. Your source only mentions the service offered, without a savings figure.
Which adjustment is supported?
- Increase the savings to 40% to get more attention.
- Keep 30%, because it sounds plausible.
- Remove the unproven figure and ask an open-ended question about the need.
With JavaScript, you can check your approach and receive immediate feedback.
Test your insight
What should you always do with sales texts generated by AI?
- Send immediately.
- Check facts and promises before sending.
- Only check the spelling.
Extra practice
Write a prompt for a personalised outreach email. Specify what AI should and should not add. Work with a fictitious situation and name one concrete control point before you would use the result.
Context: local service provider. Task: short email to gauge interest. Boundaries: no prices, no invented results. I compare the outcome with the confirmed input, leave unknown data blank, and adjust the result before use.
