AI for HR

Improving job vacancy texts and internal communication, with an eye for privacy.

After this lesson

You use AI for HR texts without sharing personal data.

HR with a data limit

  1. Use fictitious profiles for your exercise and do not share real personnel files.

  2. Let AI help formulate a vacancy or internal message.

  3. Check language and criteria; decisions about people require human judgement.

Remember: A language tool does not replace careful human assessment. Open het volledige schema ↗

Writing vacancies

Have AI help with clear, inclusive phrasing. Specify the requirements and tasks yourself. Separate necessary functional requirements from preferences and have the function owner check every change. A rewrite must not add a new diploma requirement, experience requirement, or employment condition. This lesson is about text improvement, not automatic candidate selection.

Prepare onboarding

Create checklists or welcome texts. Use fictitious or approved examples. Provide the actual steps from your approved onboarding process without uploading personnel files. Mark missing contact persons or deadlines as open. Check that the checklist does not add tasks or commitments that have not been agreed upon.

Personnel data causes concern

Practice with fictitious candidates. Omitting a name does not automatically make a CV anonymous: a career, photo, or combination of data can remain recognisable. For real personnel data, use only an appropriate, approved route with valid agreements.

New practice example

From explanation to a usable result.

Use AI to write a job vacancy more understandably, with role-oriented requirements and human oversight.

Fictional practice situation

Fictional: a team is looking for help with reception. The raw text asks for "a young multitasker" without describing concrete tasks.

View a possible solution

This is how it can be done

Describe the tasks: receiving visitors, registering appointments, and passing on questions. Mention the truly necessary skills and let the person responsible assess the content and agreements.

Why this works

A clear task description is easier to assess than a vague personal ideal. Do not let AI select candidates in this exercise.

Make it slightly more difficult

Replace two more vague words with observable tasks, without inventing new job requirements.

Extra practice, at your own pace. You do not need to submit anything. This does not count towards an automatic assessment.

Ende, your light pink practice buddy

The fictitious source is included. Only when selecting ‘Let Ende answer’ do you send your assignment to the AI service. Do not use private data.

Choose which data to omit

View the fictitious data. Omit sensitive practice fields and retain only what the task requires.

Fictional practice data. Names, addresses and codes are examples. Your task is to prepare a general text; sensitive file details and secrets are not required for this.
Tick what you want to omit from the input
0 fields omitted; 3 sensitive practice fields remain visible.

What would you include as input?

Name: Fictional candidate Sam Example
Email address: kandidaat@example.invalid
Internal personal judgement: Confidential note for this fictional file.
Job duties: Receive visitors, register appointments and pass on questions.

Still visible in this exercise: name, email address, internal personal judgement. Are those fields necessary for the general task?

Omitting or masking is not proof of anonymity. This fixed exercise does not check real personal data, files, or policies.

This trial works locally with fictitious data and does not count towards your lesson completion. It starts anew with a new lesson or reload.

A prompt to get you started

Rewrite this vacancy text to be clearer and more inclusive. Retain the requirements. Text: [fictitious or approved text]. Use only the provided fictitious facts. Make missing information visible and indicate what a human must check before use.

Apply it

A fictitious job vacancy asks for experience with customer service and working with a CRM. AI adds a mandatory university degree without a source.

Which review fits the task of making the text clearer?

  • Remove the added degree requirement and have the job owner check if the original requirements are maintained.
  • Leave it because it sounds more professional.
  • Let AI immediately rank candidates based on real CVs.

With JavaScript, you can check your approach and receive immediate feedback.

Test your insight

What must you not do when using AI for HR?

  • Use fictitious examples.
  • Paste real CVs or personal data into public tools.
  • Have vacancy texts rewritten.
Extra practice

Write a prompt for an inclusive vacancy text. Indicate which requirements must be retained. Work with a fictitious situation and name one concrete control point before you would use the result.

Make the vacancy for a customer service representative clearer. Retain: experience with CRM, Dutch language. Tone: accessible. I compare the outcome with the confirmed input, leave unknown data blank, and adjust the result before use.
